Questions
How do I turn on my Hisense TV without the remote?
Press the power button on the TV. Hisense says you can use the power button and side buttons on the TV for channels and volume too, though newer models have fewer buttons. Check your model's user manual if you can't find it.
What app can I use as a Hisense remote?
It depends on the TV's system. Google's Google TV app works on Hisense Google TV models, the Roku app on Hisense Roku TVs and the VIDAA app on VIDAA models, and Hisense also offers its Hisense Remote NOW app. Your phone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi.
Does Simple TV Remote work with my Hisense TV?
It works with Hisense Google TV, Android TV and Roku TV models. Most Hisense TVs sold in the UK run VIDAA, which isn't on our list yet, and the free check in the app tells you for sure.
How do I tell which system my Hisense TV runs?
Look at the home screen. On US models from 2025, the last letter of the model code tells you: G for Google TV, F for Fire TV, R for Roku TV and V for VIDAA. The code is on the label on the back of the TV.
Can my iPhone turn on my Hisense Google TV?
Yes, on models with the setting, once it's switched on and the TV is in standby. Hisense's manual lists it at Settings > System > Advanced System > Wake on Cast, or Screenless Mode on models with hands-free voice. If the TV is unplugged, press the power button on the TV.
How do I pair a new remote with a Hisense Google TV?
Turn the TV fully on, since the remote can't pair in standby, and keep it within 10 feet. Go to Home > Settings > Remotes & Accessories, then hold the pairing button shown in your Quick Setup Guide for at least 3 seconds and select the remote.
Can I use a phone app if my Hisense TV isn't on Wi-Fi?
No. Phone apps reach the TV over your home Wi-Fi. If the TV has never been connected, use the buttons on the TV and get a replacement remote to finish setup.
