How do I pair a remote with an Insignia Roku TV?
Simple Roku remotes use infrared and don't need pairing. For a voice remote, unplug the TV for at least 5 seconds, plug it back in, and when the Home screen appears hold the remote's pairing button for 5 seconds until the light flashes. If there's no pairing button, hold Back and Home for 5 seconds.
Can I connect my Insignia TV to Wi-Fi without the remote?
Not with a phone app. The Fire TV app, the Roku app and Simple TV Remote all need the TV on your Wi-Fi already; Roku says its app can't find a TV that isn't online. A replacement remote is the way to finish setup.
