How do I find my lost Sky Q remote?

Press the Q button on the front of your Sky Q box. After a few seconds the paired Sky Q remote beeps for 30 seconds, and you press any button on it to stop the beeping. The remote has to be in range.

Can I find a lost remote from a Sky Q Mini box?

No. Sky says Find my remote works only from the main Sky Q box, not from a Sky Q Mini. Go to the main box and press its Q button instead.

Can I use my phone as a Sky Q remote?

Yes. Sky's Sky Go app has a virtual remote for Sky Q: put your phone on the same Wi-Fi as the box and select the Remote button in the top right corner. Simple TV Remote works with Sky Q boxes too, with no pairing.

How do I turn on my Sky Q box without the remote?

Press the Standby button on the front of the box; the light turns green when it's on. Once you set Standby mode to Active or None, your iPhone can turn the box on from standby too.

How do I get a replacement Sky Q remote?

Ask Sky. On Sky's lost, stolen or damaged Sky Q equipment page, select I still need help to request a new remote. When it arrives, pair it by holding 1 and 3 and following the steps on screen.

What can Simple TV Remote do on a Sky Q box?

The arrows, Select, Back and the Sky (Home) button, play and pause, rewind and fast-forward, channel up and down, and standby. It can't change the volume, type or open apps, so use your TV's remote for volume. Try it free on your own box, then unlock it once for $5.99.

How do I change the volume without the Sky remote?

Use your TV's own remote, or the buttons on the TV. The Sky Q box has no volume control over the network, so Simple TV Remote can't change your TV's volume on Sky Q.
