Yes. Simple TV Remote works with Hitachi TVs that run Google TV. The platform depends on the model and the country, so check your exact model number. The free check in the app confirms it on your TV before you pay $5.99, once. Which Hitachi TVs work with Simple TV Remote? The HAK6150UH 4K series, sold by Argos and other UK retailers. Check the model on the label on the back of the TV, or let the free check in the app confirm it. Can my iPhone turn on my Hitachi TV? Yes, from standby, once wake is on: Settings > Network & Internet > Other options > Wow for Wi-Fi, or Wol if the TV uses a cable. It can't wake a TV that's unplugged or switched off at the wall. Where do I find my Hitachi TV model number? On a Hitachi Android TV, open Settings > Device Preferences > About. It's also on the label on the back of the TV. How do I connect my Hitachi TV to Wi-Fi? Open Settings > Network & Internet on the TV and choose your network. A phone app can't do this for you, so you need the TV's remote the first time. Do I need Wi-Fi to use my iPhone as a Hitachi remote? Yes. Your iPhone and the TV must be on the same home network, and the TV must already be connected to it. Guest networks often stop devices from seeing each other, and a phone app can't help with a TV that has never been online. How do I know which platform my Hitachi TV runs? Look at the home screen or the settings menu, which name the platform. Or type your model number into the checker on this page. Is it a subscription? No. Checking your TV is free. If it works, unlock the app for $5.99 once. No ads, subscription or account. ## About Hitachi smart TVs Hitachi's UK TV manuals name Hitachi Europe Ltd as manufacturer and importer.
